I have had my pm for a month. I was taken by ambulance to hospital with complete heart block so am totally reliant on pm. The recovery seems slow but keep moving forward. I have noticed that when I bend over I feel light headed. Do any of you have this happen.
Merry Christmas to all
Kay

I totally agree with TexasAngel....as it was 6 weeks before I started formal normal/human again. Beware of your limitations, and take it slow as you get back into the swing of things.
Keep smiling & Merry Christmas...

Hi Kay,
I also had my PM one month ago for complete heart block, but thankfully I wasn't an emergency patient.
I had some lightheadedness pre-PM as part of my symptoms, but I haven't noticed it significantly when I bend over now - just very very slightly and it disappears in seconds when I sit back down.
I feel at 4 weeks we are still recovering, and Michelle and Diane have said above it takes about 6 weeks.
May be worth following Vai's advice regarding BP if you feel worried.
Take care,
Shelly (UK)

Got mine 9/12/07 ...out running and felt very lite headed. I still feel lite headed on occasion. Going to PT helps with arm lifting and concern of pulling leads. Getting up quickly causes it or as you said bending over.... Checking BP is a good idea ....Thanks and Merry Christmas ....Marion
Light headed

It is unlikely that the PM cause the light headedness. Check out your blood pressure if it is too low especially if you are prescribed any bp lowering medication with the PM.
Merry Christmas

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.

I too had to have a pm for heart block and am totally dependent on my pm. I have also been diagnosed with sarcoidosis, which it turns out is what caused my heart block in the first place.
I get light headed still but I don't pass out anymore. And it has only been a month since you got your pm so give yourself some time. It took me about 6 weeks to feel human again.
I have had my pm since September 07. Most days I forget I have it. It's nice to know it's there doing it's job though!!
Merry Christmas!!
