I am in alot more pain then I thought I would be but I had the av node ablation. Which prolly wouldnt be so bad. One the other hand im "blessed" up top so it pulls on the site!!! Thanks to everyone who has been there for me!! It means more then you will ever know!

Take Care

Just do what you feel comfortable doing and take it easy for a few days. Like Cathryn said, it will get better day by day. I slept on the couch for a few nights because leaning against the back of it helped me sleep. I used pillows too. You just have to try different positions to find a comfortable one.

I am glad you are home!

Thanks for checking in! Like Cathryn said...each day will make things a little better. Use lots of ice on the incision site--it really helps to calm things down a bit. And I agree about the pillows...I'm not overly blessed up top and I still slept with a handful of pillows for a few weeks.

I'm sure we'll be more in tuch when you are feeling up to it! Hang in there--the best is yet to come!

Well now that "that" is over we can get on with things... said as only girls will hee hee. I am so happy that all is well with you. As you know I can't advise you on the being "Blessed" and having the pull on the PM site... We will talk later. You rest up now. I wish you a very speedy recovery. Welcome fellow pacergirl!

So glad you checked in to let us know how you are doing!

I too am "blessed" up top. I remember wearing a bra to bed helped. I loosened the strap on the pm side. The sisters need all the support they can get. :-) I thought my incision would come open because of the pulling, but it never did.

Laying my arm on a squishy pillow (the kind that has the little white fluffy beads in it) helped too. It conformed and supported at the same time.

Give yourself time to heal. It will take some time!! You will have good and bad days and then more good days than bad days. :-) I am hoping for all good days for you though!!
