Hey! I was wondering if anyone knew of any good PM camps. Not that I need to go to a special camp, I just think it would be cool to meet other kids like me. I googled Pacemaker camps and got a website called sickKids. Why sick kids? We're not sick and I don't think that that was a very appropriate name. Maybe it was a site for other more serious conditions like cancer. I don't know. Ah well. :)

Good for you - thinking about camp. I was a camp nurse some years back - it's the greatest place.
I hope you find a good one. I agree, try your doctor.
He may have a network of colleagues who might just have the info you need. Have fun !!!
Thanks!

I live in Virginia, (well, almost!) and I found a camp in Charlottesville, where I go for follow-ups. It would seem to me that my doc would have told me, but there is also SEP at UVa, so I will just go to that.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
Search....

Try an advanced Google search using PACEMAKER, CAMP and KIDS. I got a few more good results.
Happy hunting!
