I was just wondering how easy it was to pull a lead. I was about a week and a half after surgery and i tripped over the dog. I was wondering if it was possible that I pulled a lead out. I got back for a check up but im worried what the dr is going to say.........Any one got anytips?

take it from a klutz

Take it from a klutz whose fallen down stairs, got ran into by a scooter, walked directly into a pole, and walked into other things (hey who put that there?), falling over is not going to do much damage (well unless you stab yourself,or hit your head, or bruise yourself). Just worry about being hit where your pacer/leads are located. I was punched in the stomach one (by accident playing in P.E), and it hurt pretty badly, but no damage to my pacer. So dont worry to much GCWebb is completly right, our pacers are more durable then we think.

Fall over dog

The leads don't pull easily unless the doc did a poor job to begin with. Tripping over a dog may be an accident but it does not equate to pulling a lead. A fall would not normally pull a lead unless you over-stretched your torso or arms during the fall. A check-up and PM interrogation will confirm it. Do not worry unduly.

I fell down stairs at one week, had icd interogated at 2 wk no lead damage, I think dislodging lead may be harder than we're led to believe though have seen posts where its happened. I wouldn't worry unless health changes

UPDATE

Well I am pleased to let you all know that I didnt not pull a lead from tripping over the dog. My Doc seemed to think it was quite funny the way it happened though, but he said he makes us think that its easier to pull them then it really is. I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for the comments.

I would suggest trying not to trip over your dog!
Okay, sorry... couldn't resist!
It's not just pulling out the wires, it's getting proper healing AROUND those wires. Just try to take it easy for a while.
Happy Holidays!!!
