Got my first taste of the pool today and it was wonderful! Had to wait for my incisions to heal up before I could get in. Temp here today was near 100 degrees so I was ready! It was nice to get a different type of exercise than I was getting at Cardiac Rehab which was treadmill and/or bike.
Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!!!

Where are you from? I'd love to be some place where there is little to no humidity...LOL
By the way, my pacer is not new...I've had mine for three years. I just had heart surgery in May and that's what the incisions were from. Guess I should have been clear about that when I posted...oh well!!! :)
Take care and hope you enjoyed your jaunt through the great state of Iowa!

My dry location

I'm located in the Mojave Desert of California. It get really hot at times. While I was packing my trailer for my trip 3 weeks ago it was 110-113. Even with low humidity that feels warm.
I like to travel the old US highways on my trips. I came across Kansas on US 36, hit the corner of Missouri, and then up to Iowa 44. My relatives are near Panora.
As a 7 yr old I spent the summer with an uncle on his farm near Keystone. That would have been in 1936 with no electricity or indoor plumbing. Shows my age.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
I know the feeling.

I couldn't wait to get back into my hot tub (it was January) after I got mine. I taped a piece of plastic wrap over the incision and did just fine the night after the implant.
I see the Iowa in your name. I just got back from a trip through Iowa. Visited relatives near Des Moines. 100 deg back there with the humidity is sure different than here. With our 5% humidity, 100 is a pleasant day.
Best of luck with your new pacer,
frank
