Wow you guys are the greatest

So 2 nights ago I came on line and found this website through desperation. I cried out with a loud voice for someone to help me and wow I got just what I needed. A group of new friends/ICD -PM family that shared that things are never normal, just a new normal helped me beyond measure. Ela-girl, Swede and Plumber-man were just fabulous in all of their dealings, even Nuka showed up and relented when she saw the team at work. 84 days after my ICD and I've found security in knowing that I have become apart of a cyber-space family that have your survival in their hearts. So Thanks everybody, you haven't heard the last of me... I remain Shocked by your overwheming response to my concerns...

Shocked,

This is a great site, and Ela-girl said it perfectly in her post! :)

I think of it this way: I am just racking up karma to cash in should I need it on my dark days! (Oh my!) Actually when you do nice things for others it always comes back 10 fold! Next time you meet someone that has a pacemaker or ICD you can refer them to this site and all the great things it has to offer. Then you will be the one to thank!

...when I say that it is our pleasure to be here for you and for one another. We are a family here, truly. And just like families, we squabble and have misunderstandings sometimes, we share our brightest and darkest moments, our children, our grandchildren, our hobbies, our pets, and everything in between! I'm glad you found us!

Welcome to the "fam"!

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
