Has anyone had the Medtronic EnRhythm MRI SureScan (MRI friendly pacemaker) implanted? I realize that they recently started the U.S. clinical trial for the device, is anyone here part of the trial?

My doctors would like me to be able to have MRIs because I require them more than once a year for existing conditions. I plan on consulting an EP who is a clinical investigator for this trial.
Can anyone tell me about their experience with the Medtronic EnRhythm MRI SureScan PM?
Thank you for any information you may provide.

MRI-Friendly

This is the first I have heard of it. Thanks for the info. I just read the news release you mentioned. My first thought was that this will likely be fully approved by the time I need my pacer changed in several years. Then I got to thinking. To be updated to full MRI I would have to go through a lead change. Darn!

You might call the EP before Friday and ask about it. If there is any chance of getting one it will be too late when you are there and they have everything set up.

He is the EP who will be doing my procedure this Friday. I believe they are still doing the research project. I was thinking of asking him about it Friday.
