Hey everyone!
Haven't posted in what feels like an age. I know this may be a question for my technicians but I was wondering if it would be ok to do trampolining?
I did this pre pacemaker days, (had pm 5years in April '13) it kept me very fit. Although I never did many somersaults I did used to do other manoeuvres on there. From seat drops ( where you just drop into a seated position onto the bed of a trampoline) to front drops (you land completely flat on your front with your arms out and hands under your chin for protection) so it's not really a case of just jumping up and down, I did throw some shapes on there! I loved it, was the only sport I really loved at school and then as an adult found a class that I did for a couple of years. I would really love to do it again, it helped keep me fit, helped keep my weight down and toned me. I just don't know if it's safe? I'd obviously feel different about landing on my front with arms up in front of me and hands positioned under my chin, I'd imagine the impact wouldn't be great on my leads-or am I underestimating them?myself?
What do you guys think?
Thanks for your help and input.

I don't see any reason not to try it. The pm is titanium, you're not going to damage it. Worse case, you land wrong and get bruised. I read here a lot of folks who had been told not to do this or that because of potential lead damage. I asked my dr, he said it would take a bulldozer to pull them out, go do whatever I want. Not all drs are that liberal, but I've had a pm almost 20 yrs now, have never held back, and have never had a problem.
Imo, the risks of carrying extra weight, of not keeping our arteries clear and our heart muscle strong, far outweigh the risks to the leads from exercise. But that's just my opinion ;o)
