I have just posted another message about depression. Does anyone take prozac? have you known it to make the heart thing worse, I would be interested to know? My Dr thinks it is OK to take it but I'm not sure?

Hi Smudge,
When i talked to the psychiatrist I see about my depression, we discussed several options that are frequently used with heart patients. I don't remember if Prozac was mentioned or not, but I am positive that a number of seritonin uptake inhibitors (SRIs) are safe as are non SRIs. He said that Zoloft is the most frequently prescribed SRI presribed for depression. I use delayed release Welbutrin. There are several different types of delivery times with this particular drug and it is not an SRI.

I have been on Prozac for a while and I have not noticed any change in my heart issues.
