New PM

Hola, sorry for my english (I'm Spanish and I have some difficulties with the language)

Finally I got my PM 20 days ago! I have a Medtronic Kappa 703 and everything is running fine for the moment. I have a question; How long should I wait before start moving the arm?

Talk to your doctor. I had an ICD implanted the 1st of July and had to wait 3 days before I could do anything.

Talk to your doctor. Some can use their arm a little after a day or two but some have to wait a week or two. Only your doctor can give you the right answer for you. But 20 days does seem like a long time for any one.

Doc told me no lifting for 4-6 days of over 10lb. I was bike riding 10 days and did a 200km race 18 days after pm They also told me not to raise the arm over the shoulder level for the first 4-6 days. Since pm installed i hae been cycling up to 1000 mi/mo for over 1 year now
seems every doctor has a different idea a lot of that is probably CYA ( mine was installed at age 72)

You know you're wired when...

You need to be re-booted each morning.

My cardiologist is brilliant and after lots of trial and error got me running. I finished this years London Marathon in 3hrs 38 minutes.
