Saw one message about flying with the PM, I am afraid to fly not because of the PM, but because of my heart condition. I do not feel good when I get above 3000 ft. We drove to California for thankgiving, took the lowest route, but still had about 8 hours of 4000 to 4200 ft altitude. Made it OK but did not feel good, until got down to below 2000 ft. Most aiircraft are pressured to about 5000 ft, so am just afraid to try it.

I have cardiomyphia which means my heart does not pump enough blood, even with the bi-ven unit so I don't get as much oxygen, so at a higher altitude I just feel tired, Ok driving but even getting out to pump gas I get tired. Had been driving for about 8 hours at 4000 ft and was very tired, got to Gila Bend Az which was 600 ft. felt so good that after eating supper, I felt so good I took a walk for about a mile.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.

Hi there. What condition do you have? . I was born with a heart condition and have had two surgeries. More of those later too. I have flown all my life. The only time I couldn't was for 4 months straight after surgery, as the insurance and medics just like you to wait. How do you not feel good above 3000ft. I get a bit of pressure feeling but nothing that hurts or anything. Just my ears popping!!!
Take care and unless your cardio has told you that you shouldn't fly then there really isnot any reason to fear this I believe.
I agree that you should talk about how you feel when you fly with your cardio just to make sure that there is nothing going on that he/she would recognise.
