I was coming out of a Target store the other day and when I walked through the exit doors I felt something very strange in my chest.
It was not painful and I felt fine. I'm not really sure how to describe it, kind of like a muscle twitch you get after you exercise hard and then relax.
Is it possible that it was from the electronic anti theft system at the exit door? I didn't think these would do that.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.

It's possible the anti-theft system triggered your PM.
I have had that happen once when I absent-mindedly leaned on one of the columns while waiting at a local Wal-Mart.
My PM Tech said it would make my PM go into "Manual/Test" mode, and that's what it felt like. Like my PM was being tested at my last PM check up.
It went right back to normal as soon as I moved away from the column.
NORMALLY, I can walk through the store anti-theft columns and have been the screening devices at more than 20 airports - never an issue.
I am told it can depend on how sensitive the units are set at - and of course, how old your PM is.
