Cardio Monitor and Traveling

I have a Biotronics Pacemaker and am on a cardio monitor which is hooked up through our telephone line. Does anyone have a monitor and if so, do you travel outside the area with it? We are going to Canada in couple weeks and I am curious if once it is hooked up in the condo if there are international phone charges for the reporting that goes out every 24 hours. Thanks

Duh, should have called Techs at Biotronics. Just did that, my monitor is also cell phone, so just take it with and it there is cell phone capability in the area we stay in, just plug monitor into electrical outlet. Plug it into phone land line at home as a backup, should cell phone capability not work, which happens once in awhile in our home area.
