DDD mode

In DDD mode the pacer is sensing your atrial rate and using it to pace the ventricles. There will also be lower and upper limits set. This mode works great if you have normal sinus (artial) rhythm. However if you have a problem with sinus rhythm then your HR may not be high enough and you would need rate response (DDDR).
One thing to be aware of: if you get real relaxed your HR will naturally drop to a low rate. This can cause a feeling of tiredness due to lower blood flow. If you previously had atrial pacing you may have become used to having your HR maintained higher even when relaxed. The answer is to get up an move around briskly to raise you HR.
I notice this when I sit in my recliner and watch TV. I will feel pretty wiped out, but if I jump up to answer the phone I am wide awake.
