Hello,
I had my PM installed last month and have just started running again. I haven't run much since last spring because I would get dizzy after running (HR would drop below 40 after aerobic exercise). Anyway, I noticed that my running HR post PM is 20 bpm faster (180-185 bpm @ sustained 8 mph vs 160-165) prior to PM.
Has your HR increased post PM under the same load? Of course part of the issue could be that I am out of shape from not exercising properly for the last 6 months.
Thank you for your opinion!

Heart Rate Increase

It could very well be just as Tracy said. Another possibility - there are probably at least 100 possibilities -is the rate response is activated. Check with your doctor on this, if you don't already know. But this feature will increase the heart rate as it sees fit as your physical activity level increases.
Good luck,
Smitty

Mine went way up also! It may stay that way, it may eventually lower again. Your heart is beating more efficiently now and picking up all those missed beats. Being out of shape doesn't help either, but you'll get it back!
