Considering how "upset" Elisa apparently is....
I would like to actually "see" the nasty messages. I am a skeptic and I think way too much attention has been placed on something that no one but Elisa has seen. Messages/words can be interpreted in many ways. Maybe Elisa didn't understand the meaning?
All I said was (in open discussion) was that I was not on board with her idea. Also that I would agree to disagree. Where is the problem?
I have never sent her a personal message and from the looks of things I never will.

Cats dogs friend's!
by Peter.Nash - 2008-01-19 05:01:07
Hi all,
we are all supposed to be friends here looking out for each other.... so we have a few cats and dogs and other familly members on the members gallery .... personally I think it is great it helps us to see each other as we are and not just a face in a picture....where's your pet dward!! ha ha
And we all feel the need to post a message now and again ...and perhaps we don't always get the comments we think are right... but that is what it is all about ...different views from different people.. surely that is why we post questions "looking for answers".
I have tracked back and seen the posting.. in my opinion I see nothing wrong with the response on the page... perhaps Elisa is talking about a private mail!!!!.
I dont know how things work in Canada/US... But it would be nice if someone could explain to Elisa why it would not be possible to have professionals medics/doctors/ect on a public web page answering members questions (implications of that)??? I am not well enough up on all that ...but perhaps someone could put it into laymans terms.
Then if it is the comments that upset her then she may see them in a different light
Elisa! no one on this site should have to put up with "hateful mail" if it is so.. you have to mail Admin.
I also have to say that there is no way in this world pacergirl would say anything to hurt anybody.... I have met her and know her and beilieve me there is NO WAY.
I am not biased just telling you what I know to be true.
hope this helps .. now lets get on with being here for each other.. Peter.N
Everyone is different with different ideas
by gmnordy - 2008-01-19 05:01:39
I have been coming to this forum for a long time, mostly to read, but recently have been posting because I have had some different things happening.
I do think like dward said, everyone needs something different, some like to be comforted more and assured more, some like to know more about how their pacer works.
I personally do not find a problem with having a professional come on this forum now and again, as I have read some remarks from members that, well, aren't exactly correct medically....and to get the correct answers to questions might be quite nice.

I do not know the situation that everyone is talking about but I can say that in the short amount of time that I have talked with pacergirl I can't imagine her saying anything nasty to anyone. She is a great person.

just an idea..

Hi everyone,
I have not been here for a while...so, I do not know what is that all about...but, it doesn't matter. All I know that after reading only couple posts this site didn't sound the same like that one couple months ago...all I remember it was a bunch of very wonderful and caring people here.
About 4-months ago I joint my first club (crocheters club). I was very surprised of all the "strict" rules there. I have to admit that after reading all of them I didn't like that. I just didn't thought it was necessary for all of that. And that was how I felt until today.... I did changed my mind after reading the posts here...
In that club there is one person who is in charge to make sure that all those rules are follow by the members. If anyone "slips" she will warn that member.
I just thought that maybe it would be a good idea to apply something like that here ....believe me it works.
Please do not get angry at me..it is just an idea. It would a shame if this place would turn to like that other one (I don't know personally the other site). It is always good to take care of problems before they get out of hand and it too late.
With a big group of people there will be always some problems specially if there are no rules...and there always will be that one person or more who will get "bossy" and try to "take over".

First - don't know who "Elisa" is (Is that her user name?)
Second - This is a Pace-maker support group web page.
That leaves it open to interpretation. Some people may require more emotional support where others may want more technical information.
In my opinion, we ALL need to keep this in mind.
I don't know the whole story here, nor do I want to, but I do see some posts that get a little off track, picture posted of non-members, or members pets, etc.
Now some may say: Hey, what's up with that??
But again, this site has different purposes for different people. That's kind of what makes it interesting for me.
There are many different specific areas where you can read or post your thoughts, requirements, needs, etc. (See to the left of your screen.)
