I am 100% pacemaker dependant and have been all my life. I try not to think about how a little metal box keeps me alive - it would drive me crazy. So I lead a very active life.

After 4-6 weeks, the leads shouldn't move at all and he should not have pain from it. If a lead is not in position it won't pace, so the easiest way to know a lead has moved is if his hr has dropped off. It's probably just healing but as with any chest pain, I would get it checked out just to make sure.
