we just got bk

hi all well ive managed to get a ptint out of hubbys pm check and i dont under stand a thing it says so here goes hope someone can help
here goes
atrial lead impedance 566
ventricular lead 405 impedence
voltage 2.78 base rate 60
rest rate off
a pace on pvc
pmt detection rate 110 min
im trying to understand it all

Brand new pacer!

Hi,
The printout just states some basic settings of the device. This would be good to keep in case you need to see a doctor between check-ups.
The pacer must be new because voltage is pretty high--2.78 Volts is a nice new battery.
The impedance values on the leads are something that the doctors watch. They will fluctuate from one check-up to the next, but they should not vary too much or too suddenly. If they ever change, up or down, more than about 200 Ohms in a short time, you should ask your doctor to check your pacing leads. A sudden large change in impedance can mean trouble with one of the leads.
However, small changes are normal and expected and it may change 200 Ohms over the course of a few years. That's not unusual.
Hope that helps.

A lead and V lead impedance is good, that is a measurement of the energy of the lead. Voltage is like a gas gauge, the amount of time on the battery, the rep can give you an idea based on usage of expected life of battery remaining. Base rate is the minimum rate the device is set at so if your husbands own rate is slower the pacemaker will drive so that his rate will remain 60 bpm. PMT rate is referred to Pacemaker mediated tachycardia, but is also referred to as the max tracking rate, he can have his on heart rate but than the device will pace if need, usually it has to have a set number of beats before it will pace

I need a bit more information to be sure what the settings are.

Is the Voltage shown as pacing voltage or battery voltage?

What is the Mode setting? Probably DDDR or DDD, but could be some other bunch of letters.

What is the upper and lower ventricular tracking limits. The numbers will be something like lower limit=60, upper limit 140, but could be quite different.

It would be helpful to know the make and model of the pacemaker as well. Usually it is listed at the top of the report.

There are more, but these are the most important.

Oh, the most important of all..how is he feeling?
