Home Monitoring

My pacemaker is now checked via home monitoring. I send readings from my pacemaker to the hospital every three months. But I am never told what the results are and when I called and asked was told "no news is good news" I have not seen a doctor or indeed a nurse or technician for two years. Is my experience normal? Am I worrying too much?

Every doctor is different. If we're feeling good and don't have any medications or other problems, we are usually ok not being monitored very closely. They would call you if there was a problem but they should be able to tell you what's going on if they call. No news is good news isn't exactly informative! I get my pm checked every three months and see the dr once a year. Most of my checks consist of them telling me everything is fine, see you in three months.

i,see my heartand reg physican doctor,@least once every six months heart ,once a year for physhican,and they have me come in to have the device ck,once a year tosee if battery needs to replace and if a ok,
