Hi all, well I have had my PM 4months now. Had my settings changed 2weeks ago, they put it in passive mode. That helped with the heart beat in my throat, probleming I was having. My PM was put nearly in my armpit so they had already turned the movement censor off. My arm was doing so good ,pained only now and then if I moved a wrong way.I am left handed so my PM is on the right side,I know this sounds crazy but since the settings change 2 wks ago, my arm gets like a bad cramp in the upper part and shoulder,it only last about 30 sec, I could not stand it if it was longer. I have been mopping sweeping things like that so I should'nt have a froze shoulder, but it sure is stiff to raise now.Any one have this happen later to them. Lottie

Getting more active

We have a tendency to increase activity level as the implant area heals. This can lead to soreness and cramping. Sometimes there are adhesions that are pulled loose as well.
If it keeps up you might check with the doc, but probably he will just say it is normal .

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.

Hi, maybe you did a little bit to much of sweeping and things. Maybe you forced your arm a little bit to much with that. Good luck! Marijke
