blue hands etc update

Hey guys.
So I went to see my consultant about my blue hand and what I thought were palpitations and all is good. He said that my blue hands were nothing to worry about as it is probably Reynards disease which is a good thing in a way. And the 'palpitations' - he said that even though I have a dual pacemaker, my ventricular lead isnt turned on. BUT it can still pace from time to time if it thinks it needs to. So this is what he thinks is happening because he says that when the ventricular lead paces you are very more aware of it and it can feel a little uncomfortable so that makes sense. So they are going to change some settings in July when I go back. SO all is good. He did say that he wanted to a CT scan which I havnt had since 95 and cant remember what its like. Bit nervous cause i'm super claustraphbic!!

Hi Rachael,
Yes I have Reynards disease.I feel miserable in the cold weather.
Make sure you get some nice warm gloves.Stress seems to bring it on for me as well as the cold.
Protect your hands well when you are gardening as cuts or scratches take ages to heal.
You have my sympathy..but the good thing it is not life threatening...just a nuisance!!!
Take care,
Kay

You know you're wired when...

You always have something close to your heart.

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
