Asked them should i contact Medtronic or should them. They said they would. Then asked if they would email the results, and could they do it automaticlly. Computer not set up for that, have to call each time. Well i waited 6 more weeks, then called b...

Hi there good people, I am new to the group. I had a dual lead PM fitted last October for Tachy/ Brady syndrome, having had cardioversion in March for AF, and so far have had two appts when the the settings were adjusted to make exercise easier. Both times I have found the benefits seem to last 2/3 weeks then I notice exercise ( walking) becomes more challenging again, eg increased shortness of breath, aching legs, getting sweaty. I am wondering if this is normal, I am due a routine PM c...

Hi i had my annual check and was told that my bottom wire is 100% dependant and my 2nd wire is up to 42% . and instead of a 12 month review it was changed to a 6 month one. Do i need to be worried ? im a 57 yr old who had a valve replaced in 2017 and a pm fitted just before the op. I'm not one for asking questions (but that will change now) what sort of life expectancy am i looking at ...any info or advice would be much appreciated

Just a general question my husband is due to have routine check up on his ICD next week, and we assumed it would be cancelled as we currently in Lockdown here in the UK and he has a home monitor and Bev did attend an appointment last July. The hospital telephoned him and said still come to the appointment as they need to get a ‘broader picture ‘-anyone any idea what this could mean ?

Hi,
My heart block was intermittent grade 2 at implant with no sinus node issues. However my PR interval was quite long. It may always have been we will never know.
I am anticipating that at my first appointment today that if I am spending large amounts of time without grade 2 heart block I may still be ventricular pacing due to the longer (not unsafe) PR interval.
I read the following in a paper,
"The most sophisticated approach yet available for a...

I did my remote transmission and I was told everything is normal.
Atrial paced --0.4 %
Ventricular paced--100%
What does this mean now if it is 100% paced.
Is this normal ? I feel alright and have 3.5 years on battery.

I was fitted with a pacemaker 10 months ago for bradycardia. In the last couple of weeks I have begun feeling much like I did pre-PM (low heart rate, dizzy, faint, etc). On Sunday it all came to a head and my heart rate went down to 37 and stayed in the area of 37 - 40 all afternoon (the PM has a lower threshold of 60bpm). After seeing a number of ER doctors, I was finally able to see my pacemaker doctor who prescribed and fitted the PM. He asked if we had any new elec...

If any one has a cardiologist they would recommend in the San Diego area I would greatly appreciate the information. I have SSS and CI with dual-lead pacemaker.
UPDATED 12/26/20: I noticed I have received a lot of "views", but no comments. So sharing my story. Before my PM I was working six 10-hour days, running 1-2 flights of stairs, doing a very physical job. I have now been put at a desk job, have to use the elev...

I am 81 years old and in pretty good shape. I had a PM installed on Nov 13, 2020 because of afib/Bradycardia. That brought on a very high PR condition (120) with chest pain when I tried to walk 100 yds. Then that resulted in 3 stints for 99% blocked arteries. Now I can walk 20 minutes slowly with a PR of 100. Before any of this, I could walk a mile with a 78 PR. I climbed 3 flights of stairs today which resulted in a 159/88 BP...

I'm hoping someone can answer my question. Has anyone experienced any anxiety and/or Panic attacks before their first Pacemaker setting adjustment. My surgery was on October 19th, 2020. I'll be just sitting and do nothing and go into a anxiety attack. I feel like I'm going crazy.
Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated.
Also ...i go to the pacemaker clinic this next Tuesday.
Just to be clear...

Hello! Is there anyone on this forum who has a vitatron pacemaker? I made my first replacement a month and a half ago. The first was a medtronic. With this pacemaker I have noticed that at certain times of the day I hear 3 beats. That is, at 8:30 exactly, at 11:30 and at 2:30. This happens day and night. During the examination, the doctor did not find anything abnormal.

I had a Biotronik Edora 8 DR-T implated early this month and this PM model includes Home Monitoring function.
In the post surgery check up session, my doctor informed me that she didn't turn on the Home Monitoring function for me because she understood that I concerned about the battery life. Turn on the home monitoring function will shortern the battery life for a year at least. Also, in Hong Kong (where I live), it's easy to go into clinic for PM chec...

I have never been told I have AFIB but on recent pacemaker readout the tech said something about AFib. I have copy of the readout so how to I spot Afib in all this data. I did for one of the very few time have some episodes last March and April. They were Peak A Rate.
I have Zephyr DR5820.
For last 65 years I have been told I have irregular heat beat but never kept me from flying. I also have SVT but take low dose metropol.
I would be most gratful if...

Bradycardia with heart block pacemaker fitted 10/11/2020.
No prior issue of being able to raise heart rate.
Evening all
I noticed on my pacemaker temp card it states DDD(R)
A quick search on this forum says the R stands for rate response and that it is required in people who struggle to raise their heart rate in response to increased requirements.
Can you think why I would have been set with this on? Is it an initial setting to err on the side of safety until the...

I was just at the ER over the weekend thinking my settings needed to be checked as my heart rate was fluctuating. It ended up being my anxiety. I am so frustrated. They said that my Hearts own natural pacemaker has been taking over and that the interrogation report shows my pacemaker working as it should. I have seen my heart rate drop to 45 on the pulse oximeter and thought the pacemaker had kicked in. But they said no.... it hadn't.&...

Evening all
I would like to go to my first check-up fully up to speed with what options I have on my medtronic azure s dr mri w3dr01.
I was fitted due to bradycardia, a 2:1 block and I think temporary evidence of a mobitz 2 block. I am 45 very fit with no other heart issues.
Before this acute issue my resting heart rate was high 50s.
During running my maximum heart rate was 190. Cycling a fair bit less.
Clearly my aim is to ensure the pacemaker allows me to...
