I have a pacemaker for SSS. Nothing wrong with my AV node. I started to pace in my ventricles (which is a hisbundle lead) showed kardia ekgs to doctor, he did adjustments including turning MVP off. Said he saw no block. So I continued having some ventricle pacing, rate is usually 80's/90's then all of a sudden in a resting state(aka sitting on my butt relaxed) I started pacing in ventricles at 126+.
Why would my pacemaker pace that fast at rest. Oh and the beats are fusion beats...

Hi,
I just had my generator change a few weeks ago. Six hours after the surgery, the device site swelled up like a baseball...Was not expecting that at all!!!
I had to wear a tight compression vest for a few days that brought down the swelling a lot. However, after taking it off, the swelling has stayed the same size since. It has not gotten any better over these past few weeks. Doctor said give it 6 weeks.
But, since it has basically stayed the same size these pa...

I have the PM 2272 implanted in March of 2022. I have consistent vibrations at night when I lie flat or am inclined a little.
It is persistent and will only be under control when I am standing or sitting up.
the tech and Doctor are perplexed.
many thoughts.

Crusty,
when I was saying turned off I meant not pacing.
the technician actually turned it off or so she said for a week and a half and the tremors or vibrations continued. The Doctor said my vibration was not connected to the pm because it continued while it was off.
I don't believe it. I'm sitting here right now watching tv and vibrating.
I am getting to the end of this, and told the nurse today it has to be stopped. She said she didn't t...

I have posted a couple of times already Pre PM Implant & Post Implant and really appreciate all the responses & inspiration. Nice to find people who care and share their same experiences.
I have my PM for a week & and a half now. I am 63. I have SSS (sick sinus node) & A-Fib. Since the implant I have had continuous lightheadedness and spells of nausea, just feeling aweful. They were out of the home monitors and I am not sure when I will get one due to Covid shutdow...

I have had the St Jude pacemaker for 4 months and I get vibrations at night. It starts when I lay down flat. I elevate the bed and sometimes it will stop vibrating after a half hour or so. I've had the heart rate turned down and it still vibrates when it shouldn't be running.
Rate at 45 but vibrating in the 50s
its driving me nuts the doctor is giving up and I've even asked about it being removed
can a pacemaker still give out a signal when it's o...

Hi all,
I'm 24 now, had my pacemkaer implanted in october 2018 for congenital complete heart block.
I've been getting back into exercise for the past 6 weeks and have noticed whenever i do minimal exercise my heart rate is shooting up. For example, my heart rate will go from 70-80 resting to 110-120 after standing up and going to the loo or to go get food. It will recover nicely though.
My LRL is set at 70 and my HRL is set at 170, im pretty sure...

Ok, so I saw one of my doctors yesterday, an ENT guy and the conversation went like this.
Me - well I feel like I have POTS but without the tachycardia
Him - that’s probably because of your pacemaker. I’m going to have to check on this.
So, is it possible to have most of the symptoms of POTS and have a pacemaker that hides or corrects the tachycardia?

I have always had low blood pressure, always and proud of it around 105-110/80 I am fit and healthy.
While waiting for my pacemaker insertion my blood pressure is of great concern to my cardiologist and any doctor I see who all want to put me on BP medication which I do not want to do...it is now between 140 - 165/90.
I have tried to find reference studies accounts but not much of use has appeared. The only thing is here that back in the early to mid 2000 some members stated...

Hi All
I am new to the club but have been watching from afar for a while now. You have been a fantastic help to me over recent months and are all incredibly generous with your time and the contributions you make to help people. It's always better to feel you are not on your own with this and it's taking me some time to accept my new wired status.
I had a dual chamber pacemaker fitted back in February 2021 after becoming extremely bradycardic and subsequently be...

Can I get some thoughts from people? The bottom line is my husband and I are trying to make a decision about whether it is sensible/safe for me to travel to the other side of the world on a six week holiday to Europe in October – 6 months post pacemaker insert and 12 months post SVT surgery. Tickets are in short supply which is why we are making a decision so early if some are wondering.
The backstory is that my SVT ablation for tachycardia was successful. I had been a...

I did a wrong exercise and stretched the musculature where the pacemaker is implanted.
Now I feel discomfort like prickling on the skin and I feel that the pacemaker is loose. When I move my arm, I feel it compress the skin. Doctors say that the pacemaker is working normally and the electrodes too, but they don't pay attention to these discomforts I'm feeling, much less give a solution.
I would like to know if anyone has experienced this and if there was a solution.

Recently I have been suffering with shoulder pain near my pacemaker, which was implanted 6 years ago. This one was the second one as the leads from my first pacemaker somehow got crushed between my clavicle and shoulder causing jerking of my shoulder and causing the pacemaker to basically short out. Now, as I said, I am having pain after six years of no problems. Any one else? Any suggestions

To my Sinus Node pause friends,
Well here I am, creeping up onto my year anniversary...July will be one year since my pacemaker install date. The first month was the worst, tons of PVCs, pacemaker pacing throughout the night when I'd try to fall asleep, several adjustments, complaining, trying to figure it all out...yadda.
I have thus far just come off the best two months since the install, I almost thought I've been cured of Sick Sinus Node Syndrome, and then....

Hi, Think PM flipped over in pocket. Acute issue. Cardiologist/Center on-call are NOT calling back. It feels weird. Implanted 4/2019, have lost about 50lbs in past 18+ months (44yo F, Chronic Pericardial Effusion, unrelated to PM, treated with Colchicine.)
Past month has gotten weirder, will turn sideways and get caught on my bra or tank top- DISCONCERTING! But it seems like it flipped. Bra feels tight where it didn't, I don't want to manipulate or touc...

Hi
I was fitted with a duel chamber pacemaker just over 2 weeks ago - for complete heart block / bradycardia, with a pulse of 37 , I also was suffering A/F and blood pressure was managed with 7.5mg Ramapril
However -post implant my device has gone into AF mode and set a base rate of 70 bpm. My blood pressure also went through the roof hitting 160/120 once but always in excess of 100 dystolic
Ramapril increased to 10mg and it hasn't made any difference-...

I was on Losartan 25mg for a while and I was feeling okay with it, recently my cardiologist put me on Entresto 49Mg, half a pill twice a day and stopped the Losartan, I felt good for three or four weeks, but now I am very dizzy almost every day, the nurse for my cardiologist told me it is normal and stop one of my blood pressure pills, Bisoprolol 10Mg (I was taking twice a day) so now I did stop that pill and taking only one at night. But this morning I am very dizzy and my blood pressure is...

After Covid my blood oxygen has been up and down. Each time it drops my oximeter shows I am having PVCs. I am trying to wean off oxygen. Device check showed the PVC but the technician could not adjust to completely stop the PVCs.
Has anyone with a pacemaker have a similar occurance?

Just wondering if it is normal to have irregular heartbeats off and on, but then, it goes back to a normal heartbeat. No SOB, Pain, or Fatigue, just irregular. I just feel just a little "different" when it is happening.
You know you're wired when...
You have rhythm.
