Hello friends, it has been a while since I've seen a print-out of my PM interrogation. Usually, the techs erase the info when they do stuff during my surgeries. Today, I came home with my first copy in 2+ years for my Medtronic dual-chamber Enpulse. anyone heard of this??

Hey guys, I just went back to my doc for a check up b/c I been feeling my HR jump around (beat slow and fast and back to slow for 1-3 beats and fast for 10-12 beats) and he checked out the PM, etc, and apparently I'm only pacing 40% of the time. I was pacing 96%+ every other check up. He did an EKG and somehow figured out that my sinus node has not regenerated (from the ablations), but another area of my heart is acting like my sinus node and trying to beat my heart - but then "gets tired" and "...

I am 60 and just had my St. Jude PM put in 2/15. I have an appt. 5/24 for a checkup. I just joined this club this morning and have been reading through everyone's posts. I have seen the reference to interrogation. What is that?

Back from 9 week check-up

I'm back from my check-up. Got an initial and final interrogation report. Got my Upper Tracking Rate raised from 130 to 150 and I didn't have to ask. Just told them that I have been hitting a wall when exercising. Dropped the voltage. And my PM did not have the Rate Response set to ON, because they said I do not need that feature.

What I wasn't expecting is that. I am now pacing 95.5% of the time so I am basically pacemaker dependent. But to make myself feel better I am treating mysel...

interregation

4/23 my Metronic Consulta CRT-D was checked for the 2nd time since it was implanted 3/09 (they missed me in Dec.) Today my Dr. went over the results with me. He was very patient but I tend to drive him crazy. He says I'm his only patient that wants all this info and that I should get over it and not obsess on the PM and I don't need all that info in the first place. Of course, I don't feel that way. 9 week check up tomorrow

Today is 9 weeks since I had my pm placed in my chest. I swear it is a GPS so that my family can track me down whenever they want.LOL. Since it was put in they know where I am all the time... I want to hide!!!

Anyway, tomorrow is my EP checkup and I have made my checklist:

1. Copy of interrogation report
2. Double check all my settings
3. Get my Upper Tracking Limit raised to at least 140 (wish me luck with that one)
4. Make sure Rate Response is on "OFF"

logging the episodes

Hi everyone. Does anyone know what the normal episodes would be during a one month period of time. Mine was 177 - mostlly 1 min. or less but some lasted as long as 33 min. Is that bad? It also said the battery remains adequate at 2.8 volts - what is that? Maybe someone can contribute some info on what this all means.

11 month checkup

Okay, so it hasn't been a year but I am due in next week to get myself checked out. I have been working out a lot lately, going above my theoretical max as I push my bike up big hills getting ready for the Triple Bypass but the one think I keep feeling is days were the best way to describe it is I am skipping beats or feeling like my pulse is out of sync. NSVT during stress test

I had my stress test Friday and showed Non Sustained Ventricular tacycardia, My cardiologist stated I had some runs of 1-3 beats, then 4-5 beats during the test. He is referring me back to my EP Doctor and is not sure why this is happening. My echo was normal. I have had 3 ablations in the past for SVT. I have a pacemaker now for Abrupt Bradycardia. Checkup Report

Just had my first checkup since getting the new Medtronic Adapta L ADDRL 1. All went well. When the new pacer was programmed back in Jan the upper limit was set down to 130 by the computer based on my age. I talked it over with the Medtronic rep and saw no reason for not setting it back up to 150 like the old one. Even the cardiologist concurred so everything went smooth.

Early checkup

I rang and got an early check up because I didnt feel right. I was breathless going up hills and my pulse didnt go up. I asked them if the rate response was turned on she looked and said no and it should have been. She is going to ask the Prof if she can turn the upper rate up to 150. Ventricular Tachy Episodes

I have only had my pacemaker for a year, I am 30 yrs old. I have SVT and Abrupt Bradycardia. I have gone through 3 ablations, 2 rf ablations and 1 cryoabation. I have always had atrial tachy but now this time when I got my pacemaker checked its showd 7 Ventricular High rate episodes and 0 atrial episodes, is this dangerous? I am so glad I found this support site. This is all new to me - one day I was fine and two days later I was in the hospital having a pm implanted. Second Opinion

Can anyone recommend a center, clinic, university hospital with a doctors name in the NJ/NYC area?

I would like to get a second opinion and ask if other tests are needed to make sure I have a correct diagnosis and we didn't leave something out!

Am about ready to hop on the plane and hit the Mayo Clinic!

Bending over...

Does anyone experience shortness of breath, fatigue and weakness after bending over for a period of time? I was doing some gardening and when I got up from bending over, I felt those symptoms. I am getting somewhat frustrated because not only did I feel those symptoms while gardening, I can hardly mow the lawn without stopping because of getting very fatigued and short of breath. Heart Rate Response

I've been fatigued for about 6 wks now and can feel like I'm about to get completely out of breath several times a day with or w/o activity. Had appt with doc yesterday, they interrogated my pacemaker, it is working fine. They said I have one of the few PMs that has the ability to change the heart rate response -- they upped my heart rate response timing and I cannot get over how great I feel. Sounds good but wierd

Hi all
I went to our local Pacemaker clinic at our hospital today and had my 11 day old pacemaker interogated. They told me all was perfect with my pacemaker and that it had paced 0% since implant. I know that is a good thing but is that very common with a pacemaker implant? Just curious. Thanks and all the best to each of you.

Pacemaker Induced Tachycardia

I had my third pm check-up a couple of days ago. Still pacing 99% ventrically, but Atrially down from 4.5% to 3%. Tecnician said everything really good but mentioned that there had been episodes of Pacemaker Induced Tachycardia and she could make an adjustment to the settings to counteract that. I don't need to have another check for 12 months so feeling really good about that, but can someome explain what P.I.T. is in (VERY)! simple language.

Seems to always get messed up

It seems like my pacemaker settings get messed up everytime I go in for a foolow up the the pacemeker technician. Does anyone else have this problem? I went for a routine check about 2 weeks ago and now my heart rate seems fast and I feel like I am having a constant panoc attack. Is there a standard setting for pacemakers? I am pacer dependent and am having this current pacemaker replced next week. I am just sick of always feeling like crap and having to go to the technician twice everytime...
