Thanks to everyone for letting me know it is ok. Today the sales consulant said the same thing. Did say they had one pacemaker user there with out any problems. At this time after touring that location decided to keep looking as it was built in 1988 and we have new ones just being built. With better curb appeal.
Athough they did say with my food sensitivites would have a hard time eating there. Which i knew.

Just a quick follow-up on my problem. I spoke with the Nurse Supervisor in the PM Clinic at the CC this morning. Given it was a Monday morning and she was obviously very busy, I did not think it appropriate to take a lot of her time trying to get better educated on the Atrial Capture Management feature at her expense. Besides, I found a great explanation that helped on the Medtronic website (see note at the end with the URL). However, I did explain the problem and why it concerned me so much....

Hi, I'm new here. Dual lead Boston implanted Dec. 2023. 48 yr old w/Bradycardia. Just had cardiac MRI...it looks like I'm dealing with Cardiac scardiosis. Anyone here been diagnosed with that? Looking for information, encouragement, hope. Cardiologist thought I have pacemaker induced myocardial due to lower ef (40-45%) that wasn't present at implant 4 months ago. I felt better for a little bit after 1st surgery, then started not doing well with exertion and lots of "...

I wonder how this will affect us? The article is behind a paywall but there's sufficient to get the gist of it. https://www.transportxtra.com/publications/local-transport-today/news/75822/coventry-university-pioneers-electric-ve?etid=5958450&artid=75822

I had a pacemaker implanted on February 22 after having an ablation for afib and another for atrial flutter. While sitting, my heart rate is perfect--72-76 bpm. When I do something as simple as walking from den to kitchen, it may run to 88 bpm, sometimes in the 90's. I had my first check with cardiologist Monday and he says all is fine, but this seems a little fast to me. My rate before surgery was 45--maybe I haven't adjusted to the faster rate. Is this normal? Thanks for...

I've found the problem with the help from everyone - Thank you so much!!! There are likely a bunch of typos here, because I was up half the night thinking and working on this! Sorry for that!
I have sifted through all my previous interrogations for my atrial lead going back 5 years. I built a spreadsheet so that I can cover all the bases. I appreciate all the help including Piglet that I have yet to respond to. Thanks! Actually, agentX86 was correct. The problem for the...

I've very recently had to delete part of one of my posts on Good Dog's recent thread. This was to remove words / sentences / changes that I did not write or make. Somebody had accessed my account.
I decided to change my password immediately and could not do so, because the system wouldn't allow it.
Clearly, this means that we cannot use our usual means of deterring hackers on this site.
I have written to the administrators...

dear members.
I hope that all who read this are doing well.
I am doing quite well myself and my heart failure issues seem completely stabilized.
(CRT-D and Bisoprolol/Epleronone)
Im writing this post today, because I had some strange episodes I think might be related to my new Seinheiser VHF Wireless microphone. I am a part time singer.
I THINK I had palpitations during different gigs
(Not sure what is was, I had while being on stage, and I had...

Hello guys,
I was wondering what side effects you've had while on digoxin. I started it today and I started having some GI issues. Does anyone have any tips on how to help feel better? Does it get better as time goes on?
Thanks!

Those of you that are familiar with my story are aware that last month I underwent an unsuccessful attempt to implant a CRT. In an effort to avoid extraction of my old leads (37 years old & 29 yrs. old) we decided to simply change-out the generator. That decision was based primarily on the fact that My EF is low, but stable and I am non-symptomatic. Additionally, the existing leads although very old, were functionally normal. My previous battery life was about 9 years and my new battery l...

On 02/05/2024 I had my annual pacer exam. The tech made a mistake as I am 100% pace and turned me off. I went into cardiac arrest and it took the ER department to revive and restart my pacer after a reset.
Because of the CPR, and cracked ribs, my doctor ordered a 3D scan of my heart. The heart turned out fine and my leads are still intact. However, they scanned my thyroid gland and found a 4.5 cm nodule. The doctor ordered blood tests, an ultrasound,...

Hello Fellow Pacers,
I had previously posted about a report I received that indicated I experience an average of two episdoes of pacemaker mediated tachycardia daily. Since I had never heard of that term before, I asked for advice from this group. It was suggested that I contact my EP Clinic about getting my settings changed.
I had my clinic appointment yesterday and the tech adjusted the PVR from 225 to 325 and I had a positive retrograde test at 286 milliseconds. Hopefully this...

Hello everyone! Im new to this club, but I already found it very helpful, so I decided to ask some questions about leads. Firstly, I will quickly sum up my situation. At age of 10 I had implanted my first ICD. Now I am 18 years old, and a about year ago, I noticed my leads to be pinched under my clavicle; it is annoying and sometimes painful, especially when I move my arm. Device and leads are otherwise working correctly. I wonder, if anyone else has same situati...
Feel sick on slightly bumpy road

I've only had the atrial lead in my pacemaker for a week and in a car on a normal road I get a lump in my throat and mild nausea. On a bumpy road I feel very close to being sick with that nauseous feeling on the sides of the jaw and under the tongue as well as throat pressure.
The specialist says there are only two settings, and the other setting is for old people. I'm guessing that means they turn down the maximum rate from the current 130bpm to 100bpm....

Hubby and I have been offered a Covid-19 Spring booster vaccine because we fall into the vulnerable group: People aged 75 years and older, residents in care homes for older people, and those aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system will be offered a dose of Covid-19 vaccine this Spring, 2024 in the UK.
I know the Covid vaccine has been discussed over and over again on this site, but it just never gets any easier to know what to do for the best, es...
