Hi, any advice on what to do with armpit pain?
I had my second pacer inserted 2 years ago and as typical got a properly frozen shoulder also second time around. I've managed to recover from it with several months of exercise and physio, but I have a terrible pinching sensation in the armpit and it does not go. Some of the mobility is still reduced. I've been given all clear by the doctors, apparently clinically it's perfectly positioned, but I notice it is much closer...

Can a pacemaker self-convert a person if they are in flutter. A woman I know has had flutter episodes and said she has had her pacemaker convert her. I didn't know a pacer could do that, so I am asking if that is possible. I belive she has to go to a pacer clinc for that. She has had 4 ablations and her heart rate goes high for her and she then get an ECV she has had a lot of ECVs they work for a while then she goes into flutter again. Her doctor wants to abl...

I was scheduled to have my pacemaker replaced this Friday because I am on the last 3 months of the battery and he also wants to put in a third lead, but he wanted me to get an echo and Stress Test this week, both of which came back abnormal with an EP of 39% and apparently possible blockage somewhere that showed up on the Stress Test (haven't seen the results yet). Suggested I contact a cardiologist to do a heart cath. All this was done through his NP because I never see...

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone else may have experience changes in their hearts after getting their two Covid vaccinations. I went in for my 6 month check up with cardio doctor and when he looked at my echo he said he was concerned to see my right side severly enlarged. Up to the point I have had a complete heart block due to Sarcoidois in my heart and all LV problems. I have read how some younger people are having heart issues after the vaccine. I go to see hi...

Hi everyone,
I am 23 and I just got my first pacemaker 2 weeks ago😪 I was born with situs invertus and bradycardia but found out about bradycardia 6 years ago. I spend a lot of time here in this club and I am so happy that I am able to connect with people that share the same machine in their bodies as I do! (I posted a lot of questions too because I am very anxious).
anyway, I just wanted to ask if anyone ever felt shortness of breath after their implantation or in gene...

Hello,
i was drinking water and i felt a stronger pace in my heart than usual. I got my first pacemaker 10 days ago, my after surgery appointment with my EP is on December 23rd (very mad about it, I wanted to see my EP sooner than that after my implantation). Anyways, has anyone felt that before? A stronger pace from the pacemaker?
I got anxious/scared

During 2018 and 2019 three attempts were made to fit a CRT-P,the 3rd lead being transeptal (which was causing the surgeons problems, eventually solved using lasso method)so 3rd lead is on my left atrium, guarded by Apixiban.
First op 31st Oct 2018,2nd op New years Eve 2018,final and successful op 23rd Jan 2019.
My problem severe left venticle block was only discovered by chance Dec 2017 (even though I had reported the symptoms!-"another story")

Hello everyone!
I got my pacemaker a week ago and it wasn't as bad as I thought everything is going OK and I am a little sore, I'm trying to move my arm as much as I can.
Because I overthink too much, sometimes I think that the wires that are through my veins move.
I forgot to mention that I did the surgery twice because one of the wires Didn't connect properly to the pacemaker.
My question is how can you tell that one of the wires is mo...

Hi,
My surgeon picked out most of it but a black spot remains, embedded in thickened skin. Anybody dealing with this? Will it work itself out so I can tweeze the edge of it to pull out?

Has anyone experienced any side effects who have Bradycardia and and a dual lead pacemaker after having either of the two vaccines? Job has mandated that all employees have to be vaccinated by December 8th 2021. Tried applying for a waiver but it appears that no cardiologist or care physician will touch the subject for fear of reprisal from the medical field. Please share thoughts or concerns. Thanks

My old pacemaker needed replacement as the battery was almost run down. I was lead to believe it would be simple. My Cardiologist got called away to an emergency when my procedure was due so a replacement surgeon was called in. When my GP checked my wound a week later, he told me the PM was in the wrong place: too close to my clavicle and it was restricting my arm movement.
My Cardiologist agreed and scheduled a repositioning procedure. However, unlike the othe...

And my pacemaker was saved! It's been a crazy couple of months. I had my CRT-P implanted on August 31. A few weeks later I developed a staph infection. It was not in my blood and as of today it is staying in my body! Very happy that everything worked out. I never had a fever or chills or any signs that the infection went into my body but the incision site was pretty scary. Everything is healing up good and I am so grateful! I wanted to share in case anybody else is going through comp...

Hi, I just got a Pacemaker and I am noticing very slight dizziness but today I tried to do some weeding and got very dizzy from bending over. It took me about 15 minutes to get over it. I see my Cardiologist for the first time since getting it on Monday. Should I be concerned. The Pacemaker was installed due to fainting. I have a heart monitor in my chest. The heart monitor showed that when I passed out my heart stopped for 9 sec. Now I am dealing with dizziness. Thanks for any input.

Hi
I'm four years post medtronic pacemaker implantation (August 2017) for total heart block 19 seconds during the night. I am now 71 years old.
Previous to this I had a Reveal Linq device implanted October 2016 as I'd been feeling dizzy and almost fainted on one occasion. Nothing unusual was found. After almost a year later an analysis found there was a pause on 25 July 2017 at 04:15 hours; the ECG showed a brief epi...

Hi,
I had a Boston Sceintific Dual chamber pacemaker installed in Nov 2019 due to 2:1 heart block. Post pacemaker implant, a PET/SCAN revealed inflamamtion in heart for which I got a Prednisone & Methotrexate treatment. Although the inflmamtion is now completely gone after 1.5 years recent echo revealed that my Ejection fraction ratio dropped to 45% from 60% (at the time of pacemaker implant). Also teh 2:1 block has now changed to full block., so pacemaker is used 1...

What a week. Oh, wait, it's only Tuesday. So I noticed a bit of drainage at the top of my pacemaker site. I took a picture, showed it to the doctor who sent me across the street to be admitted to the hospital (Emory in ATL) and I just got out yesterday. It is not showing in my blood nor are there any indications that the infection is internal. Still, I am stressing as my pacemaker is making me feel great. I need to keep it in there! I have a CRT-P bi v.
Just sharing. Love the moral...

Good news, you no longer need to go to Mayo or a university hospital for natural ventricular activation. Your native cardiac conduction system can now be activated by either His bundle or left bundle branch pacing, to prevent the risk of what you doctor calls "pacing induced cardiomyopathy" or heart failure. Google His pacing.
Blessings,
Terry

Dr turned off RV capture, now feeling short of breath and dizzy and tightness in lower neck area. Says RV lead pacing in unipolar. Could turning off RV capture cause the symptoms I am having? When I was in the hospital rep changed from bipolar to unipolar and set capture threshold to 1.8@0.5. Couldmturning off the RV capture cause my symptoms? Any comments will be appreciated. I have a duel chamber biotronic pacemaker . I was in hospital for heart failure and first time afib!
