I have been having some breathing issues. Saw lung Dr. nothing wrong. Pacer not showing alerts. I can only walk a few feet and feel like I am out of breath. Must stop seems like my pacer needs to catch up with me been going on for 5 months or longer. I had to get another Dr. due to reason my cardiologist went to surgery only. Now for the past 5 months or longer I have been having issues. I have been checked for everything. Now I am having difficulty with my stomach. Go tomorrow for gasterologis...

I had pm fitted last Wednesday. Have felt very tired. But main problem is sleeping. I get lightheaded from time to time during the night and also sometimes develop a mild wheezy type breathing which disappears if I sit up again. Will this ease as time goes on?

The guide for my new cellphone states that it should be kept 6 inches from my pacemaker. Has anyone had any complications from cellphone use?

I would dearly love to use an i pad or i phone but they do make me feel unwell. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but it has happened when my son has left his i pad on the kitchen bench and I was unaware it was there. I became breathless and felt awful.

Received 3rd pacemaker (2006/2013/2015) to add another lead. Felt good for couple of days and then "toothache" like pain in area of pacemaker and in my back. No redness or infection. Continuous pain. CDU pacemaker check in 3 days. What could be the problem.

Hi I've had my PM since November 2013. The primary reasons were Bradycardia and AV block. I'm paced about 90% of the time in both chambers. I've had Atrial Tachycardia frequently during the past few months and now am scheduled for an ablation next week. The doctor put me on Cardizem for a month but, as he predicted, I don't want to live on it. It does not completely control the Tachycardia and makes me very sluggish. Does anyone have experience with the Ablation procedure?
Thanks

I have had a Pacemaker for over 4 years and no problems. I am very fit and have no trouble because of sports - i am 67. But today i have a very sore upper arm and part of my chest is sore on pacemaker side. It just feels like a pulled muscle but i have not done anything that would cause that. I am wondering if it is possible the Pacemaker has done something to make me sore? Has anyone heard of such a thing. I am sure i am not having a heart attack but it does hurt to take a deep breath?

Does anyone have any information about adverse interactions between a pacemaker and a TVOR - (i.e. aortic valve in a stent). I am asking because of a continuing problem with pounding heart beats and shortness of breath.

I recently had a major stroke four months after a pacer implant. Tests after stroke revealed that I have a hole in my heart between right and left chambers (a patent foramen ovale - PFO). I've had the PFO since birth many, many years ago.
No strokes in my history and I rate way low on risks for stroke.
Has anyone heard of a stroke in a person with a pacer and a PFO?
The hole allowed a blood clot to move from right side of heart into the left and then be pumped to my brain.<...

Pacemaker fitted December 2014. Still having many problems 4 months later. Technicians refuse to do any more tweaks. Given option of living with it as it is or having it off. So fed up.

It has been a little over two months since I received my pacemaker. At night it seems to shift a lot. Then it aches and I have to change sides to get back to sleep. I thought it would stay in place by now, but it still moves around. How long does it take for it to not move around.
Thanks for any help.

Has anyone had pain in their PM site after having it for years? I had mine put in in 2008 and now it hurts if anything lays against it or if I lay on my left side. If I touch it, it feels like a bad bruise would feel. When I lay on my side I get a strong pain, not just the discomfort I got way back when I first got it. I am in the last year of batter life, they predict. I wonder if that could have something to do with it? I've been getting random pains in my PM/heart area when sitting up,...
