I felt very weak and dizzy, and went to see a cardiologist. After having a Holter Monitor on for 24 hours they found that I needed a Pacemaker. It was installed on June 23, and I am home since June 25th. I still feel dizzy, and I think I need the settings adjusted. I am going on July 9th for my follow-up. Is this a common thing to still feel dizzy 8 days later.

Thursday I had my first interrogation since receiving my PM 6 weeks ago. She made a few changes to help me with my exercising. I do a lot of walking, and was getting short of breath. Well, what ever she did really screwed me up. I will be calling first thing tomorrow to get fixed. Any time I get up and walk slowly, or I move fast my HR jumps to 90-105 and it feels like my heart is going to jump out of my chest. It is making me sick to my stomach and giving me a headache. So I will be relaxing a...

Had PM for one week and went in for a check up. So glad I did. Was experiencing all of this anxiety issues and felt like I could not breath. Come to find out that they had me wired to tight. Feeling better like my old self. Didn't feel bad before, just fainted three times. But nonetheless, it is better. Now they say that I can come back in 6 months. That will be in December. Able to use left arm, but careful about extending it to wide or high. Is there a difference between the type of...

After my last post and after having put on the waiting list for my pacemaker replacement which I am 100% dependant on. I am still waiting for an appointment. 8 weeks have past and I was told I may be called in during that time but was not. I have had another check up where I felt I was fobbed of a bit and have been put on another 8 week wait with no date for the replacement proceedure. Nothing seem to be happening and I told them at the hospital I was getting worried. They originally told me the...

Was turned on last week after having yet another syncope episode. I asked for a copy of my report and was told NO- the cardiologist will get a copy. REALLY?? The way I understand it, when my HR drops fast the pm now works faster and then beats my heart at 100bpm for two minutes. I have felt this happen several times, but leaves me with a pounding headache.
So your all you experts out there, does this make sense? I would rather have a racing heart and a headache then pass out again, but...

Dual lead Medtronics pacemaker implanted 3/6/14 for Bradycardia
following 5-box mini-maze surgery for A-Fib (1/28/14). Low setting was 60 and high 150. Had my first interrogation day before yesterday. Everything was perfect - no a-fib, no flutter, no junctional rhythm. EP said the pacing is totally from the atrium at about 40% of the time. He decided to drop the lower number to 50. Since then I am having skipped beats. Wondering if there might be an adjustment period or is this something th...

it worked but s few days later I returned to the tired, easily breathless state.
He said i did well on the prior stress tests, but there is a 15% error rate. If this doesn't do it we can consider a nuclear test. We can see wht's going on. I asked what could be going on. he said a possible Stent? He said it was an easy procedure. They go through the leg.

Hi!
Didn't have to wait till my 'fine tuning' appointment next week, a Biotronik tech got back to me via e-mail. The two questions I had sent him were:
1) Does the CLS sensor forget everything it has learned so far after every interrogation that includes a change of settings (even if those settings are no relevant to the CLS sensor itself)?
Answer: Yes, there is a new CLS-initiation after every change of settings. Biotronik has realized that this is a problem, an...

I just visited doctors to be involved in an upcoming surgery, including the anesthesiology dept. The doctors are planning on putting a magnet on me. I have a Boston Scientific MRI compatible pacemaker set at 60 beats minimum. During the test MRI my EP techs set my pacemaker at 70 bpm, which was fine. They told me yesterday that the magnet would automatically put any pacemaker at 100 beats per minute.
Since my surgery is expected to last about 3 hours with several procedures one...

I am scheduled for a cardio appt. tomorrow morning, my doctor said that he will determine then if I need a defibrillator installed. I suffered an SCA on 02/06/14 due to 100% blockage in aorta had 4 stents put in and pacemaker installed. I am taking Coreg, Plavix, losartin and atvostatin. I have been thru cardio rehab and am back to work full time.Should I be worried? My girlfriend is terrified that I will have to go into surgery again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys
I'm 54, had a PM implanted because of bradycardia which got more extreme over the course of my life. My resting HR was always low 40s or high 30s but I was starting to get dizzy spells so the Dr advised a PM.
Anyway, I'm now 4 weeks post op. and have a problem which I didn't have pre-op. On the slightest exercise (slow walking) my HR jumps so much that I'm stopped in my tracks. I've no trouble breathing but I can feel such a strong fast pulse in my neck I'm forced...

Hello Everyone, I have a few questions regarding the sensitivity of my Ventricular and Atrial lead. There has been an increase in Ventricular High Rate episodes and an increase in Ventricular pacing. Several changes were made in the last few Interrogation reports that I was unaware of. They include the following:
Post mode switch pacing turned off
Sensing assurance Atrial lead turned off
Sensitivity Atrial lead from .50 to .18 to .35
Sensitivity Ventricle lead from 4....

Greetings, I have had a Boston Scientific Ingenio MR1 installed 5 weeks ago. I had right bundle branch block and this has given me a new lease on life and I have far more energy and motivation. The problem is that when I go in for a "tune up" I always feel really bad for the next day or so, I mean really bad. Quite fluttery in the chest and some tightness. It seems to come from the bit where they say this will be a bit uncomfortable and then they race my heart up to some crazy speed. It does sub...

Hello all and thanks for past help.
I was sort of breathless in the mornings and tired when doing gardening etc.
The gave me more"air" and it worked.
I seem to have slipped back the where I was.
I just had a trip that involved me wheeling and carrying Carry-ons through 4 airports. It was exhausting and id have to sit a few times for a few minutes before resuming my efforts.
I see the DR this week.
CAN PMS FALL OUT of ADJUSTMENT? and need to be altered?<...

56 yr old. Medtronic Sensia implanted 6 wks ago. Had first tune up last Mon. Was doing fine before tune up, now since tune up, I get tremendous headaches, extremely sore burning in both jaws, bad heartburn with acid in the throat, tightness in the chest. This only happens when I walk around. It all disappears when I rest. Not sure what the Tech rep did but he claimed I would feel even better. Now I'm worried. Has anyone shared this experience? Thanks in advance.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
