I did a little search on this forum about GERD and found some old posts, but I am wondering if someone has more current information or experience.
I am having more episodes of what I think is diaphramatic stimulation, as evidenced my twitching of my abdomen. It has been mainly positional, such as when sit with my knees drawn up whilst watching TV. But this last week, it is happening more often, usually when seated. It is not painful, per se, but it is uncomfortable and distracting...

I have been having lots of bad symptoms since I had my pacemaker implanted in Oct 2020 and am thinking I may have developed Pacemaker Syndrome. Any comments on this would be helpful.

Frequently when I am walking up and down hills my chest starts to hurt. After a couple of minutes the pain stops and i can keep going without further problems. The top # on my pacemaker is set at 150bpm. This never happens when I am working out at the gym with a trainer. Ekg shows that my rhythm changes for several seconds when my HR reaches around 150. Could the two be related? If so, why would my rhythm change.
Thanks, Jim Owings

So I am an idiot 😢. I've had my pacemaker for just over a year. Recently started going to the chiropractor for severe neck issues causing neurological itching of my arms which is enough to drive a person crazy 😜 She uses an activator. Pushes hard with the metal activator and clicks it... On Friday she adjusted my shoulders and I totally forgot about the pacemaker! I don't think it was directly on the pacemaker but above, maybe hitting the edge a bit. this was the...

I had my PM procedure in late Dec 2020, all has gone well, back to normal activties and feeling for the most part good with the exception of feeling somewhat "clumsy". Not dizzy but just a little off which seems to be effecting my Golf game (tragic)! My PM is set to 70 which is on the high side.
Anybody else expierence anything like this?
Thanks

Evening all
I'm now getting lightheaded when standing from crouching. I was fitting skirting board today and it was quite hard as every time I stood up I felt it.
I spoke to the EP on Friday after sending a download and he said it was not the pacemaker. He said I might have low blood pressure.
Never had low blood pressure in 45 years. Never felt dizzy when standing in 45 years so it is extremely likely to be the pacemaker settings but he stated he so no reason to change...

I noticed a bulge near my left underarm area. Felt like a large lump. Felt silly going to my heart doctor but he said it was the pacemaker and that I could probably leave it there unless it starts flipping around. Then another surgery. NOT what I want at all. I'm a 77 year old gal and have only had it for a year and a half. Seems strange it would dislodge. Anybody else have this issue? Thanks.

I got PM in 2017 now 100% blockage. On the 16th they are removing the PM and leads and putting in a stint. I had trouble with head and hands swelling, breathing, headaches. I didn't know what SVC syndrome was. Has anyone had a lead extraction?

Hi I just felt round my new recently implanted pacemaker I had a box change 3 weeks ago and it's still swollen and felt suddenly weired and my heart rate went up for less than a minute, it wasn't panic or anything like that I was just seeing if the swelling was going down. Did I mess with something?

Anyone experienced this? Weird feeling working at home office. A laptop, a desktop, a home phone and I phone in front. I felt my upper arms tightened if I stayed long. Something as if somebody's pushing my PM and gets heavy. Felt my head gets big and nauseous and head gets heavy. Yesterday I have to get out of the house stay on driveway away from devices and my hands so cold. Gasping some fresh air. After an hour it went away except the heaviness of my pm and tightening left arm. An...

Hello,
I am new to this platform but since having a PM is a new way of life I guess I will be spending more time in this forum. I am 63 and had atrial fibrillation 6 events in 3 years and I was stable on meds but a Dr. recommended I have a cardiac ablation to get rid of the faulty circuits that cause A-fib. I had it done on 11-6-20, and it seemed to be a success. After about a month I started feeling lightheaded and felt faint a few times so I went to the doctor and I was to...

Hi,
I am 3 1/2 weeks out from receiving a dual chamber pacemaker because of sick sinus syndrome at 44 years old. I had a few adjustments to my pacemaker including rate response turned on and I was feeling pretty good. Went back to work last week Wednesday and thought I was over the worst of it and feeling like myself. I am now experiencing difficulty breathing when I do any kind of movement. Even walking is taxing and my breathing becomes labored. It...

I am experiencing dizzness and heart palpitations and shortness of breath. It's been 4 and 1/2 months since I had my pacemaker implant! Had many adjustments and seems to last for a short time then symptoms come back and now I can't even do my daily chores or walk the dog down the street without feeling bad! Any comments would be much appreciated!

Hi everyone
I am new to the forum & am looking for some advice about my situation.
A little bit about me, I am 38 years old, was diagnosed with AV block 2:1 (Morbitz) & had dual chamber PM fitted last July.
Had chronic anxiety for weeks after the procedure which thankfully has now disappeared.
This was followed by weeks & months of adjustment to living with the PM. Just before my 3 month post procedure check up, became quite dizzy & ligh...

I had a complete new PM and leads put in on January 6, 2021 and started feeling like I was being shocked before I was ever released from the hospital . The nurses told me that was normal , well I'm finding out 5 weeks later when I finally got to see the rep from the company that makes my type of PM and get my interrogation box, that probably 2 of my leads are dislodged and that is why I am feeling the shocking feeling so strongly. She turned down the voltage and the feeling has stopped. B...
